Voting begins today for the 2023 GBTA Elections, with two UK-based candidates in the mix.
Mark Cuschieri, Executive Director, Global Head of Travel, UBS, is running for GBTA President and is up against Steve Sitto, Associate Director, Global Travel, Meetings, & Events Gilead Sciences, based in Palm Springs, California.
Carol Fergus, Director Global Travel Events and Ground Transportation Fidelity International, is running for GBTA Direct Seat at Large.
She is up against Carmen Smith, Senior Manager Travel & Events at ICF, and Lee Palmer Turner, Subsidiary Engagement Manager Travel Amazon, both based in the US.
In her pitch, Fergus says: “Based in Europe, I am putting myself forward, in order to assist GBTA in being truly global and for them to be the centre of excellence, the source of truth and grow from strength to strength.”
Other positions up for election are Vice President, Regional Director Canada and Director-at-Large Allied Member.
Voting closes on August 11 and the Board of Directors is announced on August 15.
