The Windsor by Heathrow is offering discounts of 20% off its VIP Black Service to introduce travellers to its exclusive private airport experience. The offer is available for bookings made now for travel between September 14 and November 30 2026 and from January 11 until March 31 2027, but all members of the travelling party must be first-time users. Prior to confirming a booking, its Client Support Team, (CST) will verify each traveller’s eligibility.
The UK rail regulator has granted track access to Virgin Trains to compete with Eurostar on international services between London and mainland Europe in 2030. The Office of Rail and Road (ORR) has pre-approved a framework track access deal between the rail operator and London St Pancras Highspeed, which runs the high-speed rail line from London to the Channel Tunnel. The agreement will allow Virgin Trains to operate up to 20 daily return services between London and Paris, Brussels or Amsterdam from October 1 2030 to December 31 2040.
Nigel Parkinson has been promoted to ALTOUR Managing Director, EMEA and has joined ALTOUR’s Executive Leadership Team. The travel management company said the appointment comes at a period of accelerated growth across EMEA and extending its reach into international markets. Parkinson joined ALTOUR in 2008 as General Manager, UK, before progressing through a number of senior leadership roles, including Global Sales and Account Management, and most recently Senior Vice President, Global Markets.
The 238-room Hyatt Regency Roma Termini is set to open in the fourth quarter of 2026, near the central Termini Station and a short walk from the Colosseum and the Monti district. The property, designed by architects Jeremy King and Riccardo Roselli in the early 2000s, boasts a rooftop with an outdoor pool as well as a bar and restaurant with a terrace.
