FCM Travel and Corporate Traveller have become the latest companies to be awarded the new Travel Management Company (TMC) Accreditation by the Business Travel Association (BTA).
Launched in June 2026, the Accreditation Scheme was developed for the BTA’s TMC members to provide organisations with a clear, independent benchmark when selecting a travel management partner.
TMCs who have now met the standards also include Inntel, Munro’s, Direct Travel, Key Travel, arrangeMY, Good Business Travel, Clarity, Wings Global Travel, Identity Travel, Navan and DGI.
The scheme addresses a long-standing gap identified by procurement teams, who have previously had no consistent, independent basis on which to assess the professional credentials of a TMC.
To achieve accreditation, TMCs undergo a rigorous evaluation and were required to provide evidence across six key areas:
- Business stability and governance
- Insurance and financial protection
- Data protection and privacy
- Professional competence
- Client service standards
- Business continuity plans
Steve Norris, MD of Corporate EMEA, Flight Centre Travel Group, said: “Achieving BTA TMC Accreditation for our corporate brands is a proud moment for our business, and one that matters most for what it means for our clients.
“It’s confirmation that whether a business is working with FCM Travel or Corporate Traveller, their programme is backed by robust governance, strong data protection and financial safeguards, and a service they can rely on when it counts.
“As one of the first TMCs to secure this new benchmark, we want our clients to be able to point to this accreditation as proof that the due diligence has already been done for them.”
Clive Wratten, CEO of the BTA, added: “This recognition reflects the organisation’s commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism, governance and service for its business travel customers
“The BTA Accreditation Scheme has been developed to give businesses greater confidence when selecting a travel management company, providing independent assurance that accredited members meet robust industry standards.”
