Travel Risk Academy launches in March

A new learning and educational community dedicated to travel risk management launches next month.

Travel Risk Academy, designed to guide companies and individuals along their journey in travel risk management, has been created by Bex Deadman, Sara McKenna and Simon Crane.

Deadman is an independent consultant specialising in ISO:31030 and travel risk management for organisations with 20 years’ experience in travel.

McKenna has been active in the fields of risk, continuity and resilience management for over two decades and works with the Continuity Forum and the Cyber Risk and Insurance Forum.

Crane served in the Metropolitan Police Service for 30 years, operating within the covert policing arena, and in 2021 started his own consultancy, SC Risk Consulting Ltd.

The three will host the launch event on March 18 at the Burnham Beeches Hotel, Burnham, 9am-5pm.

“This in-person gathering promises to be an exciting opportunity to explore the latest trends and strategies in travel risk management,” said Deadman.

“Throughout the day, engaging and interactive sessions will cover a wide range of topics, including technology advancements, data-driven decision making, and innovative travel solutions. Our esteemed speakers will share their expertise and provide practical tips to help you navigate the challenges and opportunities in the travel industry.”

Registration is now open for the event.

Once launched, the Travel Risk Academy will offer online courses throughout 2024 and beyond, including TRA Level 1 – An introduction to Travel Risk Management – Organisations, TRA Level 1 – An introduction to Risk Management and TRA Level 1-An introduction to TRM for individuals – Travellers.
