Singapore Airlines rolls out baggage collection service with AirPortr

Singapore Airlines has partnered with AirPortr to offer a baggage collection service at London Heathrow Terminal 2.

The luggage collection service is targeted at passengers departing on the airline’s flights who live within the M25 perimeter. The limit will be expanded to locations further afield after the summer period.

Travellers can book a collection slot up to 12 months in advance, with the option to do so until 24 hours before departure, on the AirPortr website.

Luggage will be picked up from the passenger’s address during the booked time slot after they have checked in online.

AirPortr vetted drivers check all boarding passes and passports upon pickup. They will also seal and photograph the luggage to ensure its safety.

Once the luggage has been transported to Heathrow, it is then checked in. The passenger will be notified by text with digital IATA luggage receipts. 

Prices start at £28 (one-bag pickup) or £33 (two-bag pickups) from central London.
