News in brief: No1 Lounges, Emirates and more

US-based Airport Dimensions has reached an agreement with joint venture partner Swissport, the owner of Aspire, to acquire the No1 Lounges business through their joint venture SwissportALD. The deal will see Airport Dimensions and Swissport operate nine No1 lounge portfolio spaces at Heathrow, Gatwick, and Birmingham airports, keeping the No1 brand.

American Express GBT is now offering corporate clients the technology to do post-trip traveller surveys to help travel managers evaluate suppliers and make changes to policies if health and safety standards are not being met. The TMC has also added a Live Travel Dashboard in its Premier Insights tool, which uses anonymised data to provide an at-a-glance, visual summary of where clients are sending travellers.

Emirates passengers flying between Dubai and 10 cities – London, Barcelona, Madrid, Istanbul, New York JFK, Moscow, Frankfurt, Charles De Gaulle, and Amsterdam –  can now use IATA Travel Pass to access the latest Covid-19 travel information and manage travel documentation. The airline says it plans to extend the digital travel pass to all routes across its network in the coming weeks.

Inhabit Hotels has announced the opening of its second urban wellness hotel in the autumn. It will be located in a series of Georgian townhouses in Paddington, London, a stone’s throw from its first property which opened in Southwick Street in 2019. The hotel will have 159 “fresh, uplifting” guest rooms, including connecting family rooms and 10 suites. It said the style will “fuse contemporary Scandi inspiration and Eastern twists with quintessentially British design”.
