Hyatt opens Blackfriars bolthole

Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars has opened in London with 204 rooms, increasing the brand’s presence in the UK from five to 13 properties.

Housed in a grade II listed building on the former grounds of King Henry VIII’s Bridewell Palace, Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars is a few minutes from Blackfriars Underground and railway stations.

The hotel’s interiors are influenced by its local history, with marble ceramics and gold finishes and bespoke artwork inspired by the art of newspapers.

There are 10 room categories – the largest at 753 square feet (70 square meters) – and all rooms have ergonomic work areas and rainfall showers.

Three food and beverage concepts will be available: The Chinese Cricket Club offers a contemporary take on Chinese classics; NYnLON is a neighbourhood-style bistro serving American whiskies and natural wines; and The Leaf and Cane pairs street food with cocktails and premium rums.

Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars offers up to 4,628 square feet (430 square metres) of multifunctional event space. The main function room can seat approximately 150 people and is ideal for conferences or large events.

Guests who book for stays between now and August 2023 are being warned of limited visual and noise disturbance between 9am and 6pm as it continues with hotel enhancements.
