Business travel consortium Focus Travel Partnership has developed and launched technology to help clients deal with the new complex travel landscape caused by the pandemic.
Called PinPoint, the Duty of Care tool has been created to provide corporates with detailed travel information about each traveller in a simple, visual map interface, overlaid with Foreign Office advice and Covid-19 risk levels.
The system can be searched by traveller, location, supplier, flight number, hotel and FCO and Safeture/Covid19 overlay.
It can be used to manage the maximum permitted number of travellers on the same aircraft and can create traveller groups so PAs can see all their bookings in one place.
The information can be made available in table format ready to be shared in report form. Travellers can also be contacted directly from the system by SMS or email.
Abby Penston, CEO of Focus Travel Partnership, said: “In the current climate, TMCs need to be ahead of the game when it comes to advising their corporate clients with the correct advice for their travellers.
“PinPoint, with its simple and clean interface, provides a cost-effective Duty of Care system which provides a sophisticated blend of intelligence and fast response capabilities and reassurance and confidence to travel for those individuals still hesitant to travel.
“This product puts Focus Travel TMCs in an incredibly strong position to support their corporate clients responsibly as we begin to return to business travel.”
