Agiito was voted one of the top 25 places to work in the travel industry at an awards ceremony in London.
Best Workplaces in Travel 2023 celebrates travel businesses who have invested in their people through continued challenging times throughout the post-pandemic recovery.
Winners are identified by asking company employees to rate what they truly value at work.
This is achieved via a unique, innovative survey format, with values elicitation technology, enabling every individual to rate what’s important to them.
It was the first time Agiito had entered the awards, which were opened up to TMCs this year. It was one of 12 TMCs who entered.
“We’ve been making a lot of changes over the years to create an enjoyable workplace and culture reflective of the Agiito brand,” said Katie Blount, Director of Experience at Agiito.
“We’re delighted to have our employee-focused initiatives scored so highly in the first awards, which demonstrates how we value the talent we have and allows us to benchmark ourselves so we can continue to improve.”
According to the employees of more than 75 travel businesses, the top five criteria that make a great place to work are:
- Respect for work life balance.
- Leaders are supportive, positive and inspiring.
- Being part of a team that works well together.
- All individuals are valued.
- Recognition and thanks for a job well done.
Best Workplaces in Travel Co-founder, Gail Kenny, said: “We introduced these awards last year with the view to help drive employee engagement, and to improve our industry’s reputation, with the objective to showcase travel as a great industry to work in.
“I’m delighted to congratulate the brilliant travel brands who made the list – the calibre of entrants was outstanding. We’re excited to already be planning next year’s awards, which will launch at the end of the 2023”.
