TakeTwo Travel Solutions, Blue Cube Travel and Gray Dawes Group are among a growing number of UK-based TMCs who have signed up to Junction One, a relaunched “next-generation” digital booking solution.
Junction One leverages the technology of PSNGR1, which ran into financial difficulties last year and was acquired by Snowfall.
The cloud-based open API system has now been combined with Snowfall’s multimodal global distribution ecosystem, Junction, to offer TMCs the ability to book not only air, hotel and rail travel, but also ferry, public transport, ride hailing and shared mobility, from multiple suppliers in a single booking.
The platform displays disparate content sources and NDC in an intuitive ‘storefront’, and offers ‘TripBoards’, which allows users to invite fellow travellers to plan, book and manage all aspects of their trip.
Stefan Cars, Chief Executive and founder of Snowfall, said: “At Snowfall our mission is to revolutionise the way business and leisure travel are marketed with technology that enables rather than restricts how sellers want to retail and buyers want to shop.
“As millennials, Gen-Z and Alpha become the dominant consumer segments, underlying legacy technology systems restrict the travel industry’s ability to keep pace with their evolving expectations.
“This generational shift is also driving a growing appetite among business and leisure travellers for more sustainable multimodal forms of travel, and seamless tech to book all those options in one place.
“We are therefore excited to have brought Junction One to the market, blending the best features of PSNGR1’s next generation booking tool with our ground-breaking multimodal global distribution ecosystem Junction, the largest end-to-end travel marketplace. We are delighted to be working closely with several TMCs to give travellers seamless access to a new era of digital travel booking experience.”
Rob Cope, Chief Technology Officer, TakeTwo, said: “The ability to offer our customers a multimodal booking experience is transformative for helping address the frictions found in booking corporate travel. Junction One’s ability to seamlessly connect all players in the ecosystem – from content provider to traveller – allows us to modernise how our corporate customers use digital technology to provide bookability of best-available content, a superior customer experience and unrivalled consumer choice.”
Warren Dix, Chief Commercial Officer, Gray Dawes Group, added: “It’s exciting to see PSNGR1’s technology be integrated into Snowfall’s Junction One booking tool and we have full confidence in its future state. The next-generation store front, powered by fully personalised NDC and multimodal content, will provide the very best personalised travel experience, and we look forward to seeing the product develop and evolve.”
Abby Penston, Chief Executive Officer of TMC consortium Focus Travel Group, said she is confident the platform will drive benefits for its TMC members and their corporate clients.
Other TMCs are believed to be in talks with Snowfall about implementing the platform.
