Luke Goggin, Vice-President of Global Sales for Virgin Atlantic, is leaving the airline this week “to pursue the next chapter in his career”. He joined Virgin from British Airways in February 2023. While a replacement is found, the role will be covered by Director of Global Agency Sales Nicki Goldsmith. Goggin’s departure comes within weeks of the departure of Tom Maynard, Virgin Atlantic Director of Global Corporate Sales, who was with the airline for just over four years.
Eloise Ferrara-Neched, who previously headed up travel and events, marcomms and professional services for Royal Mail, has joined the Rail Delivery Group as Business Travel Lead. Ferrara-Neched has worked at Royal Mail for 11 years, joining in November 2014 as Group Property Systems and Data Contract Manager and then held several roles before taking on travel in 2021.
Danny Chesworth has been promoted to Vice President International Sales at Carey International, which is under new ownership and leadership. He will help expand the group’s international sales presence in existing markets and develop new regions, including the Middle East, Asia, and Australia, while strengthening Carey’s London base. Chesworth has been with the company for more than 21 years, joining as Director of UK Sales in February 2024.
Sinead Ryan, Global Account Manager at ALTOUR, has been promoted to Enterprise Account Director. Ryan has been with the travel management company for nearly nine years, joining as Commercial Support Executive. She was one of three winners of the Rising Star award at the 2022 Business Travel People Awards.
Kasra Moshkani has been appointed Blacklane‘s CEO Americas, a newly-created role. The global chauffeur service is expanding its executive leadership it grows its operations and invests in key growth markets. Moshkani was most recently Executive Vice President at CLEAR, and has previously held roles with OYO USA and Uber. Meanwhile, René van Olst has been promoted to the role of CEO EMEA and APAC at Blacklane. Based in Berlin, Van Olst will, like Moshkani, report to Blacklane founder and CEO Dr Jens Wohltorf. His objectives include strengthening teams in strategic locations. That includes adding general managers in international cities, including Paris. Van Olst was previously Chief Operating Officer at Blacklane, a role he held since 2022.
Chris Jenkin has been named Corporate Travel Management‘s Director of Client Success. The new EMEA region role is part of CTM’s commitment to strengthening long-term client partnerships. Jenkin has 17 years’ experience in the travel industry, most recently as UK Sales Director at Reed and Mackay. He has also held commercial leadership roles at British Airways, Avis and Eurostar.
