The new opening is part of a rapid growth strategy that will see five Yotels debut across the continent in the next year in key locations including Amsterdam, London and Porto.
The 276-room hotel is on bustling Queen Street, close to the city’s historic hotspots.
Signature Yotel features in each room include space-saving adjustable SmartBeds with Serta Gel mattresses and amenities from Urban Skincare.
Rooms also include rain showers, multiple power and USB charging ports, free super-fast wifi, HD smart televisions with Chromecast and more.
Among the hotel’s communal spaces is the Komyunity bar offering drinks, snacks and a programme of curated events, and the Kohi café with fair trade single-origin coffee by Workshop Coffee and a selection of fresh pastries, salads and sandwiches.
Additional amenities include airline-style self-service kiosks, a modern gym and two interconnecting meeting spaces equipped with modern AV technology.
In a first for Scotland, the hotel also brings Imaginex to Edinburgh, a state-of-the-art, 360-degree projection space providing a unique opportunity for film screenings, social events, product launches and meetings.
“The city is both a popular tourist and business hub and we think our innovative style of hospitality, technology-driven experiences and contemporary design will suit global travellers and in-the-know locals looking for something new and exciting,” says Yotel’s CEO Hubert Viriot.
“YOTEL is like nothing else and will offer an exciting alternative to the more traditional hotel offering in the city,” he adds.
