Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse brings wellness to LAX

From relaxation in The Zen Den to dining in the Hollywood-inspired Ruby Room, eligible Virgin Atlantic passengers can now enjoy The Clubhouse at Los Angeles International Airport.

Located in the Tom Bradley International Terminal, it offers exclusive amenities, dining spaces and multi-sensory experiences tailored to enhance the pre-flight experience.

Designed with wellness in mind, the lounge at LAX is the sixth addition to Virgin’s growing lounge portfolio worldwide.

Paying homage to the City of Angels, it features local artwork and sunset-inspired mood lighting. Day-to-night transitional lighting helps align circadian rhythms, encouraging a restful journey on the airline’s three overnight flights to London Heathrow.

Pre-flight dining is available with signature dishes including tuna poke bowls, California rolls and Californian fig salad with low and no-alcohol drinks provided by TRIP. Alternatively, passengers can choose from a selection of cocktails crafted by Virgin Atlantic’s in-house mixologist.

Emmy-award winning actor Alan Cumming has lent his voice to an exclusive bedtime story, guiding travellers on a relaxing journey through The Clubhouse.

Guests can relax, work and dine in the Ruby Room (pictured), a Hollywood-inspired space with its own cinema featuring wireless headsets connected via Bluetooth. Or they can retreat to The Royal Box, featuring adjustable mood lighting and a ‘secret’ menu.

The Wing’s acoustically-sealed pods offer a quiet place to work, with a nod to Virgin Records’ legacy, named after iconic recording studios including The Manor, Olympic Studios and Sunset Sound.

In the Zen Den passengers can focus on relaxation, movement and mindfulness sessions powered by FORME Studio. Before crossing the Atlantic they can explore three categories – Mind, Body and Spirit – each offering a selection of guided sessions from FORME’s extensive library.

Body products from Flamingo Estate’s Garden Essentials collection elevate the sensory experience, with all products made from natural ingredients, which were sourced from a network of over 125 farms using regenerative practices.

Corneel Koster, Chief Customer and Operating Officer at Virgin Atlantic, said: “We’re bringing the Clubhouse experience to the West Coast with new spaces and surprises that are unique to Los Angeles. Everything about the Clubhouse at LAX is intentionally designed and pays homage to both our British roots and local Los Angeles tastes.

“LA is a global hub for wellness, and this new Clubhouse caters uniquely to that mindset in a way that only Virgin Atlantic can. Who else has a Zen Den and Alan Cumming reading a bedtime story in The Royal Box? It is so ‘us’ to add a little fun and flair. Our awesome team can’t wait to pamper our LA guests before they cross the Atlantic in style.”

LAX Clubhouse access eligibility includes: Virgin Atlantic Upper Class customers; Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Gold Tier members; Delta One customers on a Delta Air Lines international flight and SkyTeam Elite Plus members travelling on Virgin Atlantic or Delta plus one guest travelling on an international flight operated by a SkyTeam carrier.
