Vertus Edit is to open its first aparthotel in February 2025 at Canary Wharf and is now gearing itself up to work with the business travel market.
Spread across two buildings, Vertus Edit will have 378 studios ranging from 15 sqm-32 sqm.
Guests also benefit from shared spaces, including a number of lounges and terraces, bookable meeting rooms, co-working space, dining rooms, laundry rooms and a gym.
The aparthotel will also put on a curated programme of events organised by a dedicated in-house team, designed to help guests meet like-minded people.
There is no minimum stay requirements, making the aparthotel attractive to both short and mid-term stays.
To meet the needs of business travellers, Vertus is keen to engage with the business travel industry.
The aparthotel will soon be available on Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and preferential rates will be offered via the major consortia programmes, ensuring easy booking and connectivity for TMCs and corporate travel planners worldwide.
Vertus Edit is part of Canary Wharf Group’s residential rental arm Vertus, which is home to over 2,000 residents who rent apartments in Canary Wharf.
At 10 George Street, 8 Water Street and Newfoundland, residents have access to terraces, rooftop gardens, communal lounges and a packed programme of social events.
In 2026 and early 2027, 40 and 50-60 Charter Street will introduce over 1,300 new homes to Vertus.
Freya Richard, Director of Leasing & Operations at Vertus, said: “The launch of Vertus Edit is the next step in the hugely exciting and ongoing evolution of the Wharf.
“With Vertus’ BTR portfolio fully leased up, adding Vertus Edit gives business and leisure visitors who are looking to stay on a flexible, short-term basis another choice.”
