Travel management company and software development firm ITS has formally launched in the UK market after securing UK IATA Accreditation.

The Dallas-based company, which developed the tripeasy suite of online solutions for corporate clients, airlines and event organisers, said the move confirms its dedication to the UK and European markets.

UK Managing Director Paul Spencer said: “It’s our vote of confidence in the market and, through IATA’s endorsement, of our people, processes and company standing as well as being good news for our sector. Alongside our continuing investments in both India and Bolivia, this milestone in our global expansion is testament to ITS’s financial and operational resilience.”

He said the company’s plans include expanding through potential acquisitions and he encouraged any UK TMCs interested in joint ventures, software or disposals to contact him directly for a confidential discussion.

With the ITS UK team all working from home during the pandemic lockdown, the group’s CEO Rick Kumpf joined them on Zoom to pop a champagne cork in celebration.

Kumpf said: “The breadth of ITS services and products across the travel sector, particularly airline interruption software using our proprietary tripeasy booking engine and platform, contributed to the financial resilience that during this challenging time enabled us to move ahead without hesitation to invest in the UK and now formally launch onto the UK market.”

ITS and its parent company Travel Solutions International in the US turn over $250 million a year and have been operating as a TMC since the early 1980s.
