The Business Travel Association Board has appointed Joanna Greenfield, Senior Vice President Europe at BCD Travel, and Gary Povey, Chief Operating Officer at Wings Global Travel, to its Executive Board.
Greenfield spent the first 24 years of her career at Flight Centre spending 12 years in the retail division before moving over to FCM. She headed up the UK business for seven years and then transitioned to the supplier relations department with responsibility for contracting, distribution and sales of all land products into the corporate brands.
She headed up the European sales department through Covid before making the move to BCD in December 2022, where she is responsible for UKIE, France, Italy, the Benelux region and the European hub in Barcelona working with national and multinational customers.
Povey has held senior positions in organisations covering all aspects of the global travel industry, having worked across payments, expenses and hotel sectors.
He joined Wings from Reed & Mackay, where he served as Executive Vice President for Global Sales. He also brings leadership experience from Traveldoo (an Expedia subsidiary), InterContinental Hotels Group, Omega World Travel, and American Express Global Travel.
Jo Greenfield, Senior Vice President Europe at BCD Travel, added:

Gary Povey, Chief Operating Officer at Wings Global Travel, said:
“I look forward to using my experience to support meaningful change for both TMCs and the businesses they serve – ensuring we continue to evolve and stay ahead in what is becoming an increasingly complex travel landscape.”
Mervyn Williamson, Interim Chair of the BTA Board, said: “We are delighted to welcome Gary and Jo to the BTA and are really pleased to see our Executive Board continually grow and expand. I look forward to working closely with them both as we continue to serve the needs of those travelling for work and champion the vital role of TMCs.”
Suzanne Horner, the Chair of the BTA Board, stepped down earlier this year in order to focus on her role as CEO of the Gray Dawes Group.
The process to replace her is underway.
