TripStax integrates Riskline data and expands traveller communications

TripStax has updated its Track traveller tracking and duty of care platform with the addition of Riskline’s real-time risk intelligence and new communication channels, including WhatsApp and its mobile app, TripStax Mobile.

The move builds on a partnership between the two companies established in 2024 and is aimed at improving how travel management companies (TMCs) and corporate travel teams identify and respond to incidents affecting employees on the move.

Riskline’s intelligence feed, delivered via an API, provides alerts on a range of events such as geopolitical developments, civil unrest, terrorism and natural disasters. Within TripStax, this data is processed through its Core platform and automatically matched against live itineraries to identify travellers who may be impacted.

Alerts can then be sent to relevant stakeholders, including travel managers, TMC operations teams and duty of care specialists, allowing organisations to respond more quickly.

Buyers are also able to set parameters based on event type and severity, helping to filter out less relevant notifications and focus on actionable information.

Alongside the risk data integration, TripStax has expanded its approach to traveller communications. The Track platform is now bundled with the TripStax Mobile app, which provides itinerary access and enables features such as safe-arrival messaging.

The company has also introduced WhatsApp as an additional communication channel, reflecting ongoing challenges with SMS delivery across different markets and growing traveller preference for app-based messaging.

The update comes as duty of care continues to be a priority for corporate travel programmes, particularly as organisations navigate a more complex risk environment and rising expectations around traveller support.

David Chappell, Chief Product Officer at TripStax, said: “The provision of timely, actionable risk information has become a critical requirement for travel managers and TMCs. By extending our partnership with Riskline and integrating their world-class intelligence directly into Track, we are enabling customers to identify and respond to relevant traveller risk events quickly and efficiently.”

Suzanne Sangiovese, CEO of Riskline, added: “As travel risks become more complex and the information landscape more crowded, trusted intelligence has never been more important. We are delighted to continue building on this successful collaboration and support more confident travel decisions.”
