TripStax has added a ninth module in its proprietary stack – the next evolution of B2B hotel booking platform, Hotelzon, which TripStax acquired in December 2022.
The module will officially launch to market in the fourth quarter of this year
Customers who subscribe to TripStax technology will have access to hotel bookings, upselling and increased attachment rates.
It also enables the addition of hotel content to TripStax’s Content module, which already contains multiple GDS and non-GDS air providers.
Various TMC customers have connected to the Content module since TripStax launched in March 2022.
More than 1.5M properties are available within TripStax Hotels from multiple content sources including GDS, hotel aggregators, direct connections, and its own extranet.
Marika Karjalainen, previously Head of Customer Service at Hotelzon, has been appointed as Managing Director TripStax Hotels.
Since 2019 she has overseen Hotelzon’s commercial operations and played a key role in Hotelzon’s transformation from a privately-owned company to its sale to Travelport in 2014.
Jack Ramsey, CEO TripStax, said: “We are constantly looking at ways to enhance our tech offering to our customers with relevant solutions that can be easily embedded into The Core proposition. We’re proud to be able to link TripStax Hotels within the wider TripStax ecosystem and drive the next evolution of what is already a fantastic team and set of products.
“I am delighted that Marika is leading the integration and development of TripStax Hotels in the role of Managing Director, and to welcome her to the TripStax leadership team. Her vast expertise gained during her career with Hotelzon will be invaluable as we bring TripStax Hotels to market.”
