TripActions has announced plans to increase its UK head count by 50% after making a key appointment in the EMEA region.
Simone Buckley, former CEO of Fello Travel, has joined TripActions as Vice President of Marketing EMEA. She was previously CEO of the Institute of Travel Management.
Her appointment follows the hiring of Christopher Vik as TripActions Senior Vice President of Sales EMEA last summer.
The California-based company said the UK recruitment growth would be achieved thanks to a Series E growth funding of $155 million in January.
“I wanted to work for a company that has the enthusiasm, financial backing and instincts to get this industry back up and running and help create opportunities for all the talented people in our industry community who find themselves displaced because of the pandemic,” said Buckley, who takes up her new role today.
The news comes as TripActions also announced three Europe-wide client wins – Primark, Springer Nature and Advanced.
It claims to have won more than 700 new clients, including Nilfisk, since March 2020.
