TravelPerk makes two key appointments

TravelPerk has boosted its senior leadership team with two new Europe-based appointments.

Sally Sourbron becomes Chief People Officer and Roy Hefer joins as Chief Financial Officer.

Sourbron will head up TravelPerk’s global people functions, including HR and recruiting, as Chief People Officer based in London for over 950 employees located across multiple geographies.

Sourbron will take up her new post in September and joins from Santa Clara-based cloud digital workflows innovator, ServiceNow,  where she spent five years, most recently as VP of Global People for EMEA.

Prior to this, Sourbron held senior people roles within Salesforce and General Electric.

Hefer, who will be based in TravelPerk’s Barcelona office, brings more than 15 years of finance, operations and strategy experience. He joins from Palo Alto-based insurance industry disruptor Hippo Insurance and also held similar roles at Avail Medsystems Inc. and Lumenis, based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

He began his career in management consulting with McKinsey & Company advising leadership teams of Fortune 500 companies.

The appointments following a significant year for TravelPerk, which included the acquisition of UK-based Click Travel and reaching unicorn status at a valuation of $1.3 billion. 

Avi Meir, CEO and Co-founder at TravelPerk, said the new additions to the senior team will help the company in the next stage of its business strategy, which is to expand globally, including rapidly growing its presence in the US.
