What did it mean to you to win a 2025 Business Travel People Award?
I’ve always been so proud of our team, and the product we work on. But winning the Travel Technology Innovator – Team award was so special to me. It’s one thing to tell your team that they’re doing an amazing job, but winning an award like this means that our peers in the industry can see what I’ve known all along – that we have the best team doing amazing work bringing LOGiC to life.
How did you feel when your name was called?
Completely gobsmacked. I knew what a tough category we were in, with strong and talented competition. It took a few moments to sink in. The walk to collect our award seemed to take an age; and as much as I was grinning ear-to-ear, I was shaking like a leaf!
What was the reaction of your family, friends and colleagues when you won the award?
The reaction was overwhelming. Everyone expressed how proud they were, and how pleased they were to see the team’s hard work be recognised to such a high industry level. But it isn’t just those who know me or the team who reached out. I’ve been surprised how many people from all parts of the business travel community have been in touch, wanting to celebrate our achievement.
How do you think winning the award will impact your profile in the wider industry?
Hopefully, the award will help raise the profile of both Inntel and our exceptional development team. There’s a lot of talented people in our industry, and I’m sure awards such as this will encourage them to keep innovating and to deliver the best online services for their clients.
What advice would you give to anyone considering entering the awards?
Go for it! Be honest and humble, these are awards for and about the talented people who work in the business travel industry – it’s not an award for the best PowerPoint or collection of stats.
Where do you keep your award?
It’s taken pride of place in the middle of our office, so all our team can see it and be reminded of how amazing they are, and how their handwork continues to drive Inntel’s products and services forward.
