We’ve pulled together 10 dog-friendly hotels and apartments for the rising number of business travellers who want to bring their pooches along for the ride

1. The Belfry Hotel & Resort, Warwickshire

Based in Royal Sutton Coldfield, this charming resort offers a dog-friendly room on the ground floor. Each little darling will receive a water bowl, a bed, waste bags and bins. There’s even a Woodland Walk nearby, complete with picnic areas and trails to explore. With every four-legged visitor that stays at The Belfry, £1 will be donated to Birmingham Dogs Home.

2. Hyatt Centric and Turing Locke, Cambridge

These adjacent Cambridge boltholes both make for a pleasant stay with a pooch. At the Hyatt, there’ll be a dog bowl in the room upon arrival, as well as a ‘Pet in Room’ card for owners to hang outside the door. At the Turing Locke apartments, well-behaved dogs can opt for the WOOF package. For less than 29 nights, they’ll get a dog bowl, a furry friend door hanger, a bandana and toy, as well as a cluster of treats. With a one-off fee of £40, an extra-thorough deep clean is provided on check out. Canine guests can also book plush beds, available on request. The lush green parklands surrounding these properties will also go down a treat and there’s even an occasional dog yoga class for guests and locals.

3. Q Square Aparthotel, Brighton 

This serviced apartment offers food and water bowls, a sleeping mat, a cotton pet towel and biodegradable waste bags. Suitable for longer-term guests, the Q Square Aparthotel comes complete with tennis balls for those pooches that want to play. It’s only a five-minute stroll to Brighton Beach, with a promenade simply made for dog walking!

4. Dylan Coastal Resort, Carmarthen, Wales

With sandy beaches, coastal paths and walking routes on its doorstep, the Dylan Coastal Resort is the perfect stay for dog-lovers. Each lodge has been specifically selected with pooches in mind, boasting maximum accessibility, oodles of space to roam around, and proximity to nature. Beloved companions can choose between the Epic Pet Lodge and Sonnet Pet Lodge.

5. Four Seasons Hotel, Hampshire

Pooches at the Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire are spoilt for choice with their very own menu. They can tuck into tasty meals such as the Snoopy Scramble and Chow Down Chicken, clean their teeth with Greenies Dental Treats or play with a KONG Cozies Toy. Pets will have their own dog dish, a packet of food, spring water on arrival, their own special beds and a personalised welcome, too. There’s also 500 acres of Hampshire countryside to explore.

6. STAY Camden, London

STAY Camden has launched a collaboration with pet food manufacturer The Innocent Hound. The result is a paw-fect neighbourhood guide highlighting the best dog-friendly restaurants, pubs, markets, parks and stores in the Camden area. Pets will be treated on arrival to delicious handmade treats and quirky handcrafted toys.

7. De Vere Beaumont Estate, Berkshire

This country house hotel is fit for even the swankiest of pups. At £30 per stay, furry companions will be treated to their own bed, bowl and treats. There are plenty of walks available in the surrounding countryside, and owners are encouraged to request maps from reception. Dog washing stations are dotted around the hotel, too. De Vere‘s restaurants also have outdoor areas for those who want to dine with their four-legged friend.

8. Cheval Hyde Park Gate, London

Dogs are guaranteed to receive the five-star treatment at the Cheval Hyde Park Gate. A welcome kit will be available on arrival, including a luxurious dog bed and bowl, soft-to-the-touch blanket and toy, as well as a selection of treats. Suggested walks will be recommended throughout the neighbourhood, too. A week-long stay for pooches is (1-6 nights) is £50, whilst a long-term stay (7+ nights) is £150.

9. Cove Paradise Street, Liverpool 

If you’re on a business trip in Merseyside with your pup in tow, try Cove Paradise Street. This pet-friendly serviced apartment offers a bowl, bed, towels and treats available on request, as well as a Cove Furry Friend door hanger. There are close-by parks and gardens perfect for walking and running, too. A one-off cleaning free ensures your pup is pampered to the max.

10. Native Manchester

Aparthotel brand Native Places has partnered with healthy dog treat supplier Denzel’s to give pooches the ultimate five-star experience. Lucky hounds will get a bespoke bed, bowl and towel, as well as a selection of Denzel’s low-calorie dog snacks. Furry friends will also love the Mini Cini in its Dulcie Street Warehouse, a 36-seat cinema sporting dog-friendly flicks. There’s also a host of pawfect events on the agenda, including puppy yoga.
