The submissions deadline is fast approaching for the 2025 Business Travel People Awards.

Entries must be in by 11.30pm on Friday March 7 2025 for this year’s awards, which recognise excellence in business travel.

Unlike other awards, the Business Travel People Awards celebrate the achievements of people in the industry, rather than companies or brands.

There are 21 categories to enter and nominations can come from individuals and teams based in the UK or overseas.

A number of new categories have been introduced for 2025.

Due to a high number of entries in previous years, awards recognising achievements in sustainability and tech innovation have been separated into categories for individuals and for teams.

Alongside the Rising Star category, which is open to professionals aged 35 and under, there is a new award for Industry Newcomer of the Year, which is open to applicants of any age but who have only been in the business travel industry for up to three years.

There are also two new awards for individuals and teams working in sales and marketing roles. 

For the first time, the recipient of the prestigious Industry Contribution Award will be chosen by the Judging Panel and will not require a submission.

Alongside the 21 categories, a Chair’s Award will be chosen from across all of the categories by the Chair of the Judges Panel, Leigh Cowlishaw.

All nominations must be backed up with evidence, such as videos or written testimonials from clients, partners or peers, and this will account for a third of the overall score.

This year, the judging panel will welcome 11 new faces, including seven travel buyers.

The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday September 30 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London’s Covent Garden.
