Manchester-based travel technology company TapTrip has partnered with TravelPerk to integrate a product to boost traveller safety.
TravelSafe API allows OTAs, tour operators, airlines and TMCs to supply real-time insights on travel restrictions and requirements, Covid-19 transmission levels, vaccine exceptions and local guidelines directly into their clients’ interface.
TapTrip COO Neil Ruth said: “By integrating TravelPerk’s expertise and data within our own booking platform, we hope to increase company confidence to book business travel by providing travellers with the most up-to-date information they need to travel safely and independently.
“We have been fortunate to partner with some great brands in the travel industry, including Expensify, Ticketmaster, Zomato and Eventbrite, and we’re equally delighted to partner with TravelPerk and integrate TravelSafe to further strengthen our offering.”
Ross McNairn, Chief Product Officer at TravelPerk, added: “TapTrip and TravelPerk share the same belief in the importance of industry collaboration to support a common mission to deliver the best traveller experience. This makes TapTrip a natural partner for us.”
TapTrip has raised £2.7 million from investors in the last two years, including Barclays, easyJet, Techstars, Startup Funding Club and ATPI.
It provides a platform for booking and managing business travel alongside a mobile app to manage traveller safety and wellbeing, with the option to book restaurants, concert tickets and other experiences.
Earlier this month TapTrip launched a bold new marketing campaign fronted by Divina de Campo, a star of the hit BBC show RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
The campaign calls on the travel industry to #daretobedifferent and launches TapTrip’s next generation omnichannel offering.
