The company, formerly known as The Appointment Group, operates across five divisions – corporate travel, touring, events, private travel and film and media – and joins the consortium as a Corporate Premium member.

Steve Barrass, TAG’s CEO, says: “TAG is delighted to be joining the Business Travel arm of Advantage. I’ve been incredibly impressed with the range of added value products and services that will now become available to us, and I am sure this relationship will only go from strength to strength as we work hard and grow together.”

In an interview with The Business Travel Magazine, Barrass recently declared TAG’s expansion goals following private equity investment.

“Private equity will look to, say, double the business over a period of time,” he said. “We’ve seen plenty of it [M&As] and we’d love to make two or three acquisitions of our own over the next five years.”

TAG employs over 200 staff across Manchester and London offices, with seven additional offices across the United States, Asia and Australia.

The Advantage Travel Partnership comprises business and leisure travel agencies who are independently owned but collectively generate over £4.5billion in travel sales annually.
