Sunways Business Travel acquired Crawley-based Gem Travel, a fellow member of the Focus Travel Partnership.
The acquisition will increase Sunways’ turnover by £5 million to £20 million and will give it a team of 20 people.
Mark Colley, Managing Director Sunways Business Travel, said the acquisition marks a pivotal moment for the travel management company.

He said the expansion “signals confidence, resilience, and a clear commitment to shaping the future of corporate travel” as the business travel sector continues to evolve.
Colley did not rule out further strategic acquisitions in the future.
Sunways, which is based in Dartford, will keep both offices and Gem Travel team leader, Sophie Lyons, will stay with the business, working alongside the Sunways leadership team – Mark Colley, Samantha Nolan as Head of Business Travel and Sara Colley, Director of Group Operations.
Looking ahead, the TMC said there were a number of developments planned, including enhancements to its technology offering and the rollout of a new brand experience “in a bold next phase in the company’s evolution”.
Alongside its membership of Focus, Sunways is also a member of the Advantage Travel Partnership.
