Sirius expands support services amid Covid challenges

Business travel recruitment specialist Sirius Executive Search has re-branded as Sirius Talent Solutions and has expanded its services to support companies and individuals deal with post-Covid workforce challenges and skills gaps.

After extensive consultation among clients to understand the impact of the pandemic on their business and future staffing needs, Sirius has pivoted its services to also provide management training, corporate mentoring programmes, extensive outsourced HR services, outplacement support and employee engagement.

CEO Lynne Griffiths said: “The global pandemic has caused a seismic shift in the business travel industry and the effect of furlough and redundancies will be felt for a long time to come. Our industry has lost many talented people who will never return as they have moved into other sectors and this will potentially cause a future skills gap.

“In addition, those that return to work from furlough as business travel resumes, will need to refresh their skills. Plus, some companies no longer have in-house HR resources. There are also other challenges regarding employee development and engagement due to remote working.

“At Sirius, we have spent a lot of time over the last six months listening to our clients and the industry at large to understand the impact of the pandemic on their staffing needs and how we can best support them through the recovery and beyond.

“Until now Sirius has been known as a recruitment specialist, but our new services focus on the full talent lifecycle – recruitment, development and retention. We want to help address the future skills gap, and support those coming back after extended furlough periods. Our aim is not only to source the best talent for our clients, but also help them nurture and retain that talent in the long term as the business travel industry recovers.”
