Singapore Airlines to refresh Heathrow lounge

Singapore Airlines is investing more than £3.5 million in refurbishing its SilverKris Lounge at London Heathrow Airport.

Passengers can expect “a refreshed experience”, with up to 16% more seating space, enhanced facilities and a new look.

The investment follows the airline’s SGD$50 million refurbishment of its SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold lounge at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 in 2022.

Incorporating elements from the flagship site, the Heathrow lounge will continue with the airline’s ‘home away from home’ concept.

Mohamed Rafi Mar, General Manager UK & Ireland at Singapore Airlines, said: “Having continuously operated from the UK’s capital for over 50 years, London is an important premium market for Singapore Airlines. The renovation of the SilverKris Lounge at London Heathrow demonstrates our commitment to London and will deliver an enhanced experience to our customers once reopened.”

The lounge, which is located in Terminal 2, will close from February 8 and reopen later in the summer.

During its closure, Singapore Airlines First Class and Business Class passengers, as well as PPS Club, KrisFlyer Elite Gold and Star Alliance Gold members travelling on Singapore Airlines flights, will be able to access United Airlines’ United Club Lounge at Terminal 2.

Eligible customers can also use other Star Alliance lounges within LHR.
