What does it mean to you to win a 2024 Business Travel People Award?
It was all a bit of a blur. I am genuinely humbled and honoured to have received this award. It was heartwarming to hear all the positive feedback and stories shared by others who attended the event.
How did you feel when your name was called?
Momentarily shocked and in complete disbelief. It was an emotional roller coaster.
What was the reaction of your family, friends and colleagues when you won the award?
Everyone has been hugely positive and supportive.
How do you think winning the award will impact your profile in the wider industry?
In 2023 I was the guy who made the speech which many people resonated with. Since the award, I have already been asked to be an ambassador and take part in a podcast about approaching the challenges that dyslexia brings. I will continue to spread my message at every opportunity I get.
What advice would you give to anyone considering entering the awards?
Do it. Getting nominated is validation, while getting shortlisted in itself is a huge honour. Winning is off the scale!
Where will you be keeping your award?
It is already sat on the front of my desk at home, alongside the team’s Travel Technology Innovator one from the previous year.
