SAP Concur adds Amadeus NDC content

SAP Concur has added Amadeus’ NDC content to its existing NDC content base in its revamped booking tool Concur Travel.

It means corporate customers and TMCs will now have access to Amadeus’ 27 globally NDC-activated carriers.

Travel managers will benefit from new offers, including continuous pricing, retail and merchandising options and budget flexibility for travellers.

A spokesman said the move will significantly reduce content fragmentation and “get the right content, to the right people at the time it is needed, without having to leave the OBT and potentially booking out of policy”.

“Concur Travel provides NDC content that significantly reduces the traditional (EDIFCT) GDS surcharge that is charged by a number of airlines,” he explained.

“It also allows for improved retailing and merchandising from airlines to travel buyers and travellers, and makes the servicing of GDS NDC easier for the TMCs as it produces a live PNR, therefore making it easier to make amendments to the booking.”

Meanwhile users will be able to see fare attributes at a glance and compare seats or travel options.

“With an abundance of retail and merchandising options through Amadeus, Concur Travel users will have greater flexibility and a richer, more personalised experience when planning for travel,” said Charlie Sultan, President of Concur Travel, SAP Concur.

Elena Avila, Executive Vice President, Travel Distribution, Amadeus, added: “NDC continues to gain traction in the corporate travel space, offering access to the tailored, end-to-end experiences travellers have come to expect.

“We are delighted to further accelerate this process of adoption through our partnership with SAP Concur. We look forward to our continued collaboration as we work to create leading-edge technology solutions for travel distribution.”

Earlier this year, Concur Travel added expanded hotel content through new direct integrations to American Express GBT, BCD Travel, CWT RoomIt, Flight Centre Travel Group and HRS.

As part of a revamp, it also added the capability to search and book UK rail content in partnership with Trainline and integrated carbon emissions calculations from Thrust Carbon.
