Prince Hotels set for London debut

The Arch London Hotel will re-open as the Prince Akatoki this September, becoming the group's first UK hotel.

It will also be the first hotel to open worldwide under the Prince group’s new Akatoki brand.

The opening is scheduled for September 16 and will “take the best of Japan and introduce it to London”.

Located close to Marble Arch, the five-star property will have 82 guestrooms – including a range of rooms and suites – featuring minimal designs, natural elements, calming colours and premium amenities.

Dining options will include fusion food restaurant Liquid Spoon and cocktails and whisky bar The Malt Lounge, while further amenities include a gym and The Prince Room for meetings and events of up to 36 guests.

Prince Hotels President, Masahiko Koyama, says: “We are honoured to announce that our first overseas luxury brand, The Prince Akatoki, will be opening in the world’s leading city, London.

“Together with StayWell, we will strive to deliver the Japanese culture and hospitality through The Prince Akatoki brand to the world. Through this, we will endeavour to transform Prince Hotels from a Japanese chain into a global chain.”

Simon Wan, President and Director of StayWell Holdings, adds: “The demand for luxury hotel accommodation in London, particularly Marylebone and Marble Arch area, remains unparalleled, making the opportunity to acquire The Arch Hotel one that the group had to seize.

“I am confident this hotel will be a welcome addition to the vibrant neighbourhood it will reside in.”
