Premier Inn is pressing ahead with the roll-out of its Premier Plus rooms and expects to reach the milestone of 1,000 rooms by the summer.
The Plus rooms will be available in many new hotels opening over the next six months, including London Tooting and Premier Inn’s upcoming opening in Oxford’s city centre.
The budget hotel chain is also converting existing standard rooms to the new style in a number of locations across the UK, such as Kendal, Plymouth and Inverness.
The upgraded rooms are already available in Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Bath and several locations in London.
They have improved workspaces, air conditioning, flat screen TVs, a mini-fridge with complimentary water, Nespresso machine, an iron and ironing board, upgraded WiFi and a USB port by the bed.

Simon Ewins, Managing Director for Premier Inn UK, said: “Our Premier Plus rooms are perfect for when you want that little bit more from your stay – giving you that extra comfort, convenience and connectivity when travelling for business or leisure, and soon they will be in even more places across the UK.”
