Perk has introduced Perk Events, a new AI-powered module that automates team event planning from nine to 5,000 people. It encompasses venue selection, travel, attendee management and communication.
Bringing together centralised event management and booking, AI-powered venue matching with upfront pricing, Perk Events offers to automate group travel coordination and to create attendee event pages with customisable admin controls to share key information. It can also manage attendee responses, track details such as dietary requirements and has reporting tools.
Supported by Perk’s team of experts, the Perk Events consolidates scattered workflows into a single platform, giving organisers visibility, control and time savings.
Perk Events is the first product developed and implemented from Perk’s Real Work Incubator, transforming one of the most complex and manual workflows into an AI-powered, end-to-end experience.
Formally founded in 2024, the incubator is a dedicated, startup-style environment for Perk employees to pitch and build innovative products that eliminate shadow work from critical workflows. It provides teams with leadership support, time and financial investment to bring ideas to market.
Perk Events is being introduced after a Perk study into event workflows found that 76% of UK employees have helped plan or coordinate a team event – either at work, offsite or at a retreat. More than half (52%) took on that responsibility in addition to their core responsibilities. Venue sourcing (43%), managing budgets and approvals (43%), and arranging hotel accommodation (37%) were the most common pain points.
Additionally, research by Forrester Consulting, commissioned by Perk, reveals that 53% of UK companies have event processes that are either minimally automated or not automated at all. Shadow workloads on non-core tasks are estimated to contribute $1.7 trillion in annual lost productivity across six major markets. UK businesses alone lose £95 billion a year.
Perk Events is the latest milestone in Perk’s mission to eliminate shadow work and power real work across the workplace, strengthening its platform at a moment when the events category presents one of the largest untapped opportunities for workflow automation and AI.
