Oneworld has launched a portal to give passengers the latest updates on the health and wellbeing measures they can expect while flying.
It provides information on the various measures implemented on the ground and in flight by oneworld member airlines, as well as major airports in the global network.
Measures include contactless check-in, enhanced cleaning of aircraft and customer touch points in airports and lounges, physical distancing during the boarding process, and the wearing of masks and face coverings.
Oneworld CEO Rob Gurney said: “Safety has always been the top priority for oneworld member airlines. While the flying experience is different during these challenging times, our member airlines have implemented additional measures to protect the health and safety of customers. The portal we introduced today is another step of that commitment, and we hope that customers may have even greater peace of mind as they resume their travel.”
Meanwhile, this week oneworld member American Airlines began operating all its flights from Terminal 5 at London Heathrow, alongside British Airways and Iberia.
American is now operating four daily flights from T5 to Dallas/Fort Worth, New York JFK, Chicago O’Hare and Miami.
