Talma Travel Solutions, the parent of Blue Cube Travel and Talma EMEA (formerly Norad), has named Nick Bettles as Chief Executive Officer of Talma UK. The announcement said the move marks “a bold new chapter in the company’s continued global growth and integration strategy”. Bettles previously held key roles at Etihad Airways, Cathay Pacific, Virgin Atlantic and RX Global.

British Airways has appointed Gillian Wickers as Head of Sales for the UK and Ireland. Wickers, who joined the airline in 2022 to lead the UK leisure accounts. In her expanded role, she will now oversee UK and Ireland Leisure, Corporate, and TMC teams. Before BA she worked for American Express GBT and United Airlines. Karim Ismail will continue in his role as BA Head of UK Business Channel, now reporting into Wickers.

Tejal Parmar, previously with FROSCH, Spotnana and CT Business Travel, has been promoted to Associate Travel Director at IQVIA, a provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries. Parmar was Senior Manager, Global Supplier Relations and Office Manager for Spotnana, where she worked for nearly three years before leaving to join CT Business Travel for five months as Fulfilment and Supplier Relations Director, leaving the TMC in January to join IQVIA as Travel Manager.

Qatar Airways has appointed Andrew Bunn as UK&IE Country Manager. He joins from ITA Airways, the new Italian national airline, which he joined in 2021 to start up its operations across the UK, Ireland, and Nordic markets. He has also previously worked for Lufthansa and Emirates in the Asia Pacific and US.
