Part of the new 250 City Road development, the hotel facilities are also inspired by the London locale with on-site restaurant The Bell & Whistle conceptualised as a reinvention of the British pub, and a London Underground-themed gym.
Inside the lobby, guests will find vibrant artworks, bespoke furniture, fireside work spaces and a bar. The hotel is also well-equipped for business travellers with three state-of-the-art meeting rooms called Laboratories.
London-based Project Orange is responsible for the interior design, with the theme ‘London reloaded’. The new design and lifestyle hotel is tailored to reflect the city with playful décor featuring Big Ben, the London Underground and cockney rhyming slang.
The design takes inspiration from traditional British icons, such as the Royal Family, and London hallmarks are scattered throughout the hotel including oversized gold bell lights, intended to be a reminder of the city’s famous church bells.
Rooms include original artworks, colourful textures and quirky touches such as bone china teapots and loose leaf tea. Each room features designer beds and furniture with en suites equipped with bespoke toiletries.
Unique offerings at the hotel include robot-assisted check-in with Henry the Robot and the option to book Lazy Sunday stays with late check-out before 5pm and breakfast served until noon.
