News in brief: Trainline, Sabre and more

Trainline has been integrated into Google Maps in the UK, providing Android users with the option to click through to Trainline’s website or app to buy tickets for their journey.  It has also recently made Google Pay available to all customers and made it possible for those in the UK to save a ticket into Google Pay.

Sabre has signed a new multi-year, worldwide distribution agreement with Emirates to give Sabre-connected travel buyers and agencies access to Emirates’ content. Further to this, Emirates will create and distribute NDC offers through the Sabre GDS.

Global insurance company MAPFRE Asistencia has partnered with travel risk intelligence company Riskline to incorporate real-time alerts, country and regional risk assessments into its travel insurance underwriting process. Riskline’s data features safety and travel health information spanning political and security crises, travel disruptions, major upcoming events and high risk locations.

Over 3,200 Green Key accredited venues across the UK are now available to book via venuedirectory.com, bringing the total amount of sustainably accredited venues on the platform to 4,076. Green Key is an Eco label awarded to venues around the world that have met or exceeded the standards set against strict criteria, including environmental management, corporate social responsibility as well as sustainability education.
