News in brief: SWISS, De Vere and more

SWISS has resumed flights from London City Airport to Zurich this week. The airline will operate two rotations per week to the city initially but said schedules will increase in line with the anticipated surges in demand for leisure and business travel as restrictions are relaxed in the UK and Europe this summer.

De Vere has launched an integrated meetings and events booking engine on its website in partnership with MeetingPackage, a cloud-based meetings and events booking platform. It will be available at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London’s West End and will be rolled out to the group’s other estates and mansion house properties in the coming months, allowing event planners to see real-time room availability, search, filter and book event spaces in one simple process.

Marriott Bonvoy has launched two new hybrid meetings and events packages – the Green Screen Package and Hybrid Meeting Package – across more than 45 hotels in the UK. There is no need to limit delegate numbers as both packages allow participants to be hosted across different hotel properties in multiple locations, using the same connection and streaming services.
