ITM has announced that footballing legend and hospitality entrepreneur Gary Neville will be one of the keynote speakers at its annual conference on April 27-28. He will address delegates on day two, sharing his insights on this year’s ‘Revive’ conference themes which include return to travel, sustainability, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, plus meetings and events.

Focus Travel Partnership has engaged the services of Black Box Partnerships to boost rail services for its TMC members and their clients. The consortium believes domestic rail will be critical in driving recovery in the UK and that it’s critical for the corporate travel community to work together to support the domestic rail market.

Accor has signed a new 251-room ibis Red hotel next to Edinburgh Airport. Set to open in the first quarter of 2023, it will feature the brand’s new contemporary and urban ‘Plaza’ design concept, a space creating flexible social and working hubs, plus a restaurant, bar and breakfast area. Accor said the hotel building will also provide “superior” sound-proofing.

Wizme, the new single integrated platform for meetings and events, and Global Secure Accreditation have joined forces. GSA has provided Wizme’s hygiene security criteria based on required standards and offers the opportunity to all registered venues to work towards formal certification under GSA’s Certificate of International Good Practice.  Hotels and venues on Wizme’s platform can now be filtered and searched based on the hygiene security information they have provided, preferably supported by external accreditation.
