Holmes Hotel London has unveiled The Residence, a new events venue located on iconic Chiltern Street in the heart of Marylebone Village. It has been launched alongside the hotel’s existing meeting and events facilities and will offer five rooms – The Pantry, The Billiard Room, The Laboratory, The Conservatory and The Cellar – catering for up to 130 guests when hired together for exclusive use or up to 20 when booked on an individual basis.
HBAA has appointed Louisa Watson, Director of Marketing at Wyboston Lakes Resort, and Gareth Warnock, Group Sales Director of De Vere, as venue sector advisors to the Board. The positions have been created to represent the depth and breadth of the HBAA’s venue community. They join David Taylor, formerly Managing Director of Grass Roots Meetings & Events and a non-executive chairman of BCD Meetings & Events, who was appointed as an advisor at the end of last year.
Team ABC, a new international investment fund in the travel sector, announced it has acquired an equity stake of up to 20% of Paris-based Yieldin, a smart revenue management system for airlines. With the investment, Team ABC will help Yieldin expand into new markets globally, with a strong focus on connecting Yieldin’s software to airlines in Latin America who’ve been particularly hit amid the pandemic.
The Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, has joined the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. The 321-room property, in the heart of the city’s Central Business District, is currently undergoing an extensive renovation scheduled for completion in late 2021, after which it will be rebranded as Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah, Riyadh.
