News briefs: American Airlines, Vista and Virgin Atlantic

American Airlines will serve Lavazza coffee across all cabin classes and in its Flagship and Admirals Club lounges from early 2026. The partnership means that the airline’s passengers will experience a consistent coffee experience on the ground and in the air for the first time.

Vista, the private aviation group, has signed a landmark partnership with Gogo to bring the new Gogo Galileo broadband connectivity system to its global fleet. The rollout will begin in November 2025 across Vista’s European fleet, followed by rapid implementation in the US and Asia from January 2026. This will see one aircraft upgraded with the Gogo Galileo terminal every nine days, reaching at least 60 aircraft within the first 18 months.

Virgin Atlantic is partnering with Hambledon Wine Estate in the UK to create its own custom blend to serve onboard. The bespoke sparkling wine will be harvested this year to be available from 2029. The development of a dedicated blend marks the next evolution of the airline’s partnership with Hambledon’s, renowned as the birthplace of English wine. Since 2019, customers flying in Upper Class have been welcomed with a glass of Hambledon Classic Cuvée and the sparkling wine has since become a permanent fixture alongside Champagne.
