Dishes from New York restaurants are being introduced by JetBlue to enhance the premium inflight dining in its Mint cabin. From July 31, a selection of dishes from Kent Hospitality Group’s New York restaurants Crown Shy (citrus-marinated chicken) and Birdee (for breakfast items, including a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich) will be available on domestic and transatlantic routes. From early 2027, dishes from Four Clovers Hospitality Group, whose portfolio includes the Red Hook Tavern and Hometown Bar-B-Que will be served during flights.
Access Hospitality inaugurated Access Evo at HITEC 2026 in Texas. This is a new intelligence platform that brings together data from central reservations, customer relationship management, revenue management and booking systems. The platform includes a single sign-on interface, commercial dashboards and an AI-enabled assistant that allows hotel teams to query operational and commercial data. Additional features including automated group quoting and channel optimisation tools are scheduled to be introduced later this year.
BCD Travel has been selected as the global travel management partner for GE Vernova. The agreement consolidates corporate and rotational crew travel under a single model across 106 countries, replacing multiple travel management providers. GE Vernova will use BCD’s TripSource platform and TripPlanner technology to simplify booking, help make smarter travel decisions and improve data visibility. Implementation is under way, with the new programme scheduled to go live in September.
Navan launched Navan Events, a new system that combines venue sourcing, attendee travel management and event reporting in a single product. Available now in the US and rolling out across the UK and Europe this week, the system includes venue sourcing, hotel RFP management, attendee registration and travel booking tools. Navan said it builds on venue sourcing and planning capabilities introduced earlier this year.
Roomex introduced Best Rates Display, a feature that compares hotel prices across up to 30 supply channels at the point of booking. The workforce travel platform said the tool highlights the lowest available rates alongside options that include free cancellation and breakfast. Directly negotiated hotel rates are also included in the comparison where available. Roomex said the feature is designed to improve visibility and help businesses manage accommodation costs.
Travel Risk Academy has opened registration for its conference, taking place at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London on October 8 2026. The event will focus on travel risk management, traveller tracking, crisis response, policy compliance and traveller wellbeing. It will also mark the induction of the first 50-plus students into the TRA Hall of Fame, recognising professionals who have completed Travel Risk Management qualifications. Early bird tickets are available at £250 plus VAT.
As it approaches its 40th year in 2027, London City Airport will open its first luxury pre-flight hospitality experience, in partnership with Swissport International’s airport hospitality brand, Aspire Pre‑Flight Hospitality. The lounge will be open by early 2027 and will feature a centrepiece cocktail bar and barista station serving locally roasted coffee. There will be a dedicated workspace with seating and private booths to provide privacy for calls.
