News briefs: Sabre, Delta, CT Travel Group and more

Sabre has renewed a multi-year distribution agreement with Delta Air Lines. Sabre-connected travel agents will be able to access both traditional EDIFACT and New Distribution Capability (NDC) content, enhancing their ability to provide comprehensive travel offers to customers.

CT Travel Group has named Caroline Everard as Head of People & Culture. In her new role, she will oversee the people and culture strategy for all four CT brands across its offices in London and Tunbridge Wells. These are Business Travel, MICE, Trade Missions and Pettitts Travel. Everard has experience working across banking, insurance and global accountancy.

Etihad Airways is resuming flights to Nairobi, Kenya, from December 15 2024. The airline will fly a four-weekly non-stop service between Abu Dhabi Zayed International Airport (AUH) and Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO). New flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Seats are on sale now.

The Varsity Hotel & Spa in Cambridge has completed a £1m refurbishment. All 50 bedrooms and the penthouse suite have been refreshed for a “glamorous yet contemporary feel”. Strong-patterned fabrics and wallpapers have been sourced from designers Kit Kemp, Colefax & Fowler and GP & J Baker. Highlights include solid oak flooring, luxurious Hypnos beds, marble bathrooms and monsoon showers. There are also some free-standing Victorian baths.
