BA CityFlyer has launched a new daily route between London City Airport and Aberdeen for the winter season. Flights will operate until January 22 2023 on the Embraer E190 aircraft. London City Airport said it saw October passenger numbers more than double compared to the same period last year, demonstrating resilience in business travel.
Sabre Corporation and BCD Travel have announced a long-term, multi-faceted strategic partnership expected to “drive meaningful growth and advancement for both companies and across the travel ecosystem”. Under the newly-expanded and long-term technology agreement, BCD Travel expects to increase its booking levels with Sabre. Additionally, the two companies will jointly invest and collaborate on new and advanced solutions that will help accelerate the technology-driven evolution underway across the corporate travel ecosystem.
CWT has appointed Victoria Berwick to the newly-created role of Vice President Global Marketing Director. The UK-based position carries a remit to spearhead all brand, customer, digital, event and product marketing initiatives, and further develop innovative channels to market. Berwick was previously Global Marketing Director at Reed & Mackay Travel.
International SOS has launched a new learning module to help employees understand the critical role that they play in reducing the likelihood of an information security breach while on-the-move. Developed in collaboration with the BSI Digital trust Consulting Services team, the course provides examples of the different methods used by cybercriminals when trying to gain access to networks and devices and how to prepare workforces for potential threats whilst outside the workplace.
