Etihad Airways has announced an increase in the frequency of services between Paris and Abu Dhabi to double daily flights from January 15, 2025. From November 1, 2024, flights on the Paris-Abu Dhabi route will be aboard Airbus A380 aircraft. A Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will be introduced to add additional capacity when the second daily flight becomes operational. For business travellers, the schedule allows for full working days at both ends of the journey.
Private jet group and freight charter and aviation safety and security solution specialist, Air Partner, a Wheels Up company, has signed a partnership with The Advantage Travel Partnership, the business network representing travel agents and travel management companies.
Cathay Pacific is now offering complimentary Wi-Fi services to Business Class passengers on all connected aircraft following successful trials on select flights. Over 90% of the airline’s fleet is equipped with Wi-Fi, including all long-haul aircraft. The airline plans to extend connectivity across its entire fleet by mid-2025 and the complimentary service will be further extended in November to Cathay Diamond members across all cabins. Passengers using the complimentary Wi-Fi service have the same experience as the paid-for option, enabling checking emails, browsing the internet, streaming audio, using social media and messaging apps and more. They can connect with one device at a time and can switch between devices at any time during their flight.
The Belfry Hotel and Resort at Sutton Coldfield is set to open its new event space, The Masters Suite, ahead of schedule this month. Construction of the 852 square metre space is part of an £80 million development at the resort. It has 23 adaptable event spaces with a maximum capacity of 920 delegates. A new leisure club will also open as part of the resort’s development. The club features a multi-purpose indoor sports area, a gym and a dedicated lap pool. It also has a café indoor and outdoor hot tub plus four studios overlooking the PGA National golf course.
Expedia Group has announced the UK launch of its One Key loyalty programme, which was introduced in the US last year. The scheme is now available and free for UK travellers who book eligible flights, holiday homes, hotels, car rentals and activities on Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo. This is Vrbo’s first participation in a UK loyalty offering. One Key members can earn OneKeyCash, Expedia Group’s rewards currency, as well as their frequent flier miles with most airline loyalty programmes. The programme has annual status tiers offering savings and rewards that increase as travellers reach higher tiers.
