Air Canada has rolled out its Bag Tracking feature to passengers flying from London, Paris, Dublin, Edinburgh, Rome, Milan and Copenhagen. Beyond Europe, Air Canada has also introduced Bag Tracking to Tokyo (Haneda and Narita International Airports), Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, Bogotá, Cancun, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Mexico City, Punta Cana and Tulum. Using the Air Canada app, customers can track the progress of their checked items through the airport from check-in, while a ‘What’s Next’ feature tells customers which carousel to get their bag from and the transfer point or location at the end of their journey to collect luggage.
TAP Air Portugal has launched its new ‘Airspace’ cabins in its fleet, allowing for more space for carry-on luggage. The cabins are available on a new A321neo, which has just joined the TAP fleet and is the first of 20 aircraft with the new cabin that the airline will receive by 2029. The new XL bins have 37% more volume and allow for vertical loading of bags (eight instead of five per bin), making it easier to access and store carry-on luggage. This means the cabin can hold 130 pieces in the new A320neo and 194 in the A321neo.
Aer Lingus flights between Manchester and the island of Ireland have moved to Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport. All Aer Lingus and Aer Lingus Regional flights (operated by Emerald Airlines) from Manchester will depart from and arrive into Terminal 2 as part of the airport’s £1.3 billion transformation programme, which brings all Aer Lingus operations – including direct transatlantic services from Manchester – under one roof at Terminal 2. As well as flights to Dublin and Belfast City Airport (operated by Emerald Airlines), Aer Lingus also flies three transatlantic routes from Manchester Airport to New York JFK, Orlando and Barbados.
