Aer Lingus has launched its inaugural flight from Dublin to Indianapolis. The new direct route will operate four times a week and connects to 10 UK airports, including Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, London Heathrow, Manchester, Newcastle and Southampton.
Global Airlines has chosen Knighthood Global as strategic advisors to support the next stages of its development towards operations. Global Founder and CEO James Asquith will work with James Hogan and James Rigney from Knighthood. They will provide key strategic advice and support and advise the airline on building the required company, regulatory and operational infrastructure before expanding operations. Knighthood will also become a shareholder in Global Airlines, while progressing the UK AOC application.
Travelodge has announced the opening of its new Liverpool Central Queens Dock property. As the budget hotel chain’s 10th hotel in the city, Liverpool Central features 101 rooms and 70 on-site car parking spaces. It is a 10-minute stroll from the city centre and within reach of landmarks such as the Royal Albert Dock, Museum of Liverpool and Cavern Club. The hotel will undergo a full refurbishment over the coming months. It will be refitted to the Travelodge’s brand standards, with a new look and design.
Ennismore has signed Melbourne Place in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD (Central Business District). The property will be reimagined and relaunched as Hyde Melbourne Place. Guest rooms and public spaces will “reflect Melbourne’s renowned artistic and cultural vibrancy”.
David Hollands has been appointed Country Manager – UK at Cisalpina Tours International (CTI). He has over 20 years of experience in global sales and business development. Hollands previously held senior roles at Tripbam, Advito and Carlson Wagonlit Travel. He will be based in London and report directly to Giorgio Garcea, Chief Commercial and Operations Officer at CTI.
