New lifestyle hotel set for East London

A brand-new 126-room lifestyle hotel, Hart Shoreditch Hotel London, from Curio Collection by Hilton is set to open in the heart of East London in February 2020.

This will be the fourth Curio Collection by Hilton property in London and the brand’s first in East London

In the heart of Shoreditch – London’s old manufacturing district – the hotel’s design pays homage to its previous life as a cabinetmakers factory and takes its name from one of the building’s previous occupants, The Harts, who were cabinetmakers in the 1800s.

The hotel’s interiors include a wrought iron and copper staircase, and contemporary dark mahogany lights designed to replicate cabinetmaker’s boxes.

Guests can choose from nine guestroom and suite categories, all of which feature a muted colour palette with copper mirror accents, deep green leather detailing and simple modern furnishings.

An urban design in the bathrooms includes concrete vanities, herringbone flooring, bold geometric tiling and brass detailing.

Hart Shoreditch is also home to brand-new restaurant, Barboun, offering Eastern Mediterranean cuisine inspired by the flame-grilled flavours of Levantine coastal towns. The main restaurant also has a grab and go deli attached.

The hotel’s all-day bar, Tavla, serves up artisan cocktails and bar snacks with live DJ sets and board games.

Catering for business travellers, there are three meeting spaces within the hotel designed to feel like an 18th-century Huguenot townhouse, two of which can be merged to create a boardroom for up to 22 people.

Additional facilities within the hotel include a 24-hour fitness centre as well as a new nightclub concept opening in early 2020, which will also be used as an events space.

Hart Shoreditch’s General Manager Lina Zakzeckyte said: “We are incredibly excited for the opening of Hart Shoreditch in February. The hotel itself really is one-of-a-kind, with a design that acts as a celebration of the local area and its rich heritage.

Not only will it be the perfect base for the curious traveller to explore the local area and all of the exciting experiences that come with it, we also want the hotel to become an integral part of Shoreditch – a community hub for those who live, work and play in the area.”

Opening rates start from £165 per night including breakfast for a Queen Guestroom.
