Riyadh Air has put tickets on sale for a new three-times-weekly service between Manchester and Riyadh, which will commence on July 23, 2026. The route will be operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and is designed for better connectivity between Northern England and Saudi Arabia while providing onward connections to destinations including Jeddah, Dubai and Cairo. Riyadh Air has also brought forward the launch of its London service to June 10, following accelerated aircraft deliveries. Customers joining the airline’s Sfeer loyalty programme will receive benefits, including a Best Offer Guarantee and complimentary onboard Wi-Fi.
SilverDoor has opened its first dedicated office in Shanghai, strengthening its presence in a market where enquiries have increased every year and reservations have doubled, according to the company’s latest figures. Located in the city’s central business district, the office marks the first new opening since SilverDoor’s merger with Synergy Global Housing in 2025. The serviced apartment specialist said the move reflects growing demand from both international companies sending employees into China and Chinese businesses expanding overseas. The Shanghai operation is led by Hana Huang and James Wills.
Bob W has announced plans to open a 136-unit aparthotel in Stuttgart’s historic Bad Cannstatt district in 2027. The property will occupy the site of a former World War II bunker and feature smart apartments, a co-working space, communal areas, laundry facilities and a 550-square-metre fitness centre operated by FITSEVENELEVEN. Being close to Bad Cannstatt railway station, the property’s design concept will be based on the district’s industrial and cultural heritage. The opening forms part of Bob W’s wider expansion across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where the company has 12 confirmed projects across nine cities.
Spring Hotels has appointed former Iberostar executive Tania Mesa as Director of Groups & Events as the Tenerife-based hotel group expands its meetings and events offering. Mesa joins from Iberostar, where she most recently served as MICE Manager for the Canary Islands and Cape Verde. Her appointment follows Spring Hotels’ acquisition of Mare Nostrum Resort, home to the Pirámide de Arona auditorium, which can accommodate up to 1,600 delegates. The resort also features more than 20 meeting rooms and a 1,200sqm exhibition area, significantly increasing the group’s capacity to host conferences, incentive groups and corporate events.
