Strikes, airport disruption and cancellations are prompting more companies to turn to TMCs, according to a members survey by The Advantage Travel Partnership.
Nearly half (48%) of the consortium’s business travel members reported seeing an increase in approaches from clients who had previously worked independently, without a TMC.
Of these, more than half said the reason companies were opting for a TMC’s support is to prepare for the potential travel disruption caused by late changes and cancellations.
One in three members surveyed in December also reported seeing an increase in the length of business travel trips, partly due to ‘work from anywhere’ polices enabling travellers to stay in a destination for a longer period.
